Ingredient

  • 2 cups rose matta rice
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 150g jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat a  heavy bottomed pan.
  2. Dry roast the rice stirring continuously.
  3. Once rice is crackled, transfer into a plate and set it aside to cook for few minutes.
  4. Once rice cools down, powder it coarsely .
  5. Do not power fine, there should be some granules left.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine coconut and jaggery with your hands applying little pressure.
  7. Add roasted rice powder in batches and mix well.
  8. Add cardamom powder and mix well.Do not add water.
  9. Make small balls out of it.
  10. enjoy the ariyunda!!!
